art show

Waubay School Art classes have been quite busy this year.  Art Instructor, Mrs. Sharon Johnson plans to hold an art show tonight at the MS/HS Spring Concert. The concert will start at 7:00 pm tonight. The art show will  be available before and after the concert.

Action figurines were created in the Exploratory Art class.  These figurines are made out of rolled newspaper, paper mache, clay, acrylic paint, hot glue and other materials.

7th grade Art class has been working on clay vases and clay dogs. The vases were made out of earthenware clay and fired in the kiln. They were then glazed and fired again in the kiln. The clay dogs were made out of earthenware clay, fired in the kiln and finally painted with acrylic paints.

The original watercolor paintings were created in Mrs. Johnson's High School Painting class.  The painting class is currently creating and painting ceiling tiles.  Once completed, the ceiling tiles will be displayed in the HS Art Room.
