Red Ribbon Week takes place each year from October 23 through 31st. Red Ribbon Week highlights the importance of living an alcohol, tobacco, and other drug-free life. This is the oldest and largest drug prevention awareness program. This year the Military Youth hosted a Red Ribbon Week Poster Contest. The theme of the contest was “Be Kind to Your Mind. Live Drug Free!”
The local VFW Auxiliary asked students (up to age 15) to participate in this poster contest. The 10-15 year old category was won by Trace Gaikowski, a 6th grade student at Waubay School. Second place award goes to Cash Gaikowski, an 8th grade student at Waubay School.,
