Kayce and Caleb receiving their award

Webster/Waubay FFA members Kayce Berger and Caleb Weyh wrote essays last semester to enter in the South Dakota Soil Health Coalition Essay Contest. To enter the contest, each student had to submit an essay addressing one of two topics for a chance to win a cash prize. Kayce was the 1st place winner in the high school division, and Caleb won the 4th place prize. While attending the 2024 Soil Health Conference to receive their awards, Mr. Fred Zenk, the FFA advisor and the students had a chance to tour the Museum of Geology at the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology and a quick trip to visit Mount Rushmore. Congratulations to Kayce and Caleb!
