The senior government classes of Summit and Waubay went to Pierre to take a tour of the Capitol. While there, students were lucky enough to meet with Lt. Governor Larry Rhoden, SD Secretary of State Steve Barnett, and Chief Justice Steven Jensen. They also got to watch the South Dakota State Legislators debate bills in session. A few students even got to go down on the floor during the Senate votes.
