The 2025 Homecoming Week, themed “A Night at the Movies,” brought students, staff, and the community together for a spirited celebration packed with dress-up days, competitions, and Mustang pride.
Festivities began on Monday, September 8, with “Dress Like Your Favorite Movie Character” and the first round of Battle of the Classes. Coronation was also held that evening, where Teegan Gaikowski and Kayce Berger were crowned Homecoming King and Queen. To cap off the day, JV football hosted Hamlin on the home field.
On Tuesday, students embraced the “Heroes vs. Villains” theme while the volleyball team traveled to Tiospa Zina and came home with a big win.
Wednesday’s theme, “What Can You Sneak into the Movies?” (Anything But a Backpack Day), sparked plenty of creativity. Students carried their supplies in everything from shopping carts to coolers, even a microwave.
The excitement continued Thursday with Class Color Day, another round of the Battle of the Classes, and another Mustang volleyball victory, this time against Waverly-South Shore.
The week wrapped up on Friday with Spirit Day. The senior class hosted a special “Senior Breakfast” in the school parking lot for staff and students. Later, the community lined the streets for the annual Homecoming Parade at 1:30 p.m., cheering on the Mustangs ahead of that night’s football showdown against the WSS Coyotes. While the Mustangs couldn’t secure a win, the week was filled with fun, memories, and Mustang pride.
A big thank you goes out to all the businesses and community members who participated in the parade. Special congratulations to the float winners:
