Waubay JAG students recently traveled to Pierre where they joined other SD JAG programs for Capital Conversations Part II.
The Highlights:
• Action in Committees: Students watched the debate process firsthand, hearing from both proponents and opponents of various bills.
• Senator Session: We caught up with District 1 Senator Mike Rohl to discuss the day’s agenda and can’t wait to host him back at school for a full session recap soon!
• Behind the Scenes: The group toured the Judicial Branch Courtroom and the Law Library, followed by a networking lunch at the Visitor Center with JAG students from across the state.
• The View from the Top: We ended the day in the Senate balcony, witnessing live floor discussions and voting.
