📚 PRE-SCHOOL SCREENING AT WAUBAY SCHOOL

Waubay School will be conducting its annual Pre-School Screening for children ages 3–5 in the Waubay area.

This screening is an important step in preparing children for school. The goal is to identify school readiness at an early age and provide families with services, resources, or advice to help address any areas of concern before their child enters school.

The JV FB game that was schedule for today in Castlewood has been cancelled. The XC meet that was scheduled to take place in Webster today has also been cancelled. Go Mustangs!

Today your student is bringing home information about our upcoming Washington, D.C. & New York City trip—one of the most impactful experiences we offer at Waubay. I’ll be hosting a Parent Meeting where we’ll walk through the trip, pricing, and how to secure your student’s spot.

Parent Meeting Details: Thursday, September 17th | 6:00–6:30 PM in Mrs. Boik's Classroom

Families who attend the meeting will receive $500 off each traveler, and this is where spots are secured for the trip.

If you have a child in Band, Choir, or FFA we are looking for some help in the football concession stand tomorrow night. We are looking for parent and or student help. If you can assist us, please show up at the concession stand at 6 pm. Thanks for your help!

Just a reminder that Open House for the Waubay School District is on Monday, August 17th from 4:00-7:00 PM. Walking tacos will be served from 4:00-6:00 PM. You can meet teachers and drop off school supplies. Hope to see everyone there!

Golf Awards will be held on Tuesday, August 18th starting at 7 PM at the Waubay City Park. There will be a pizza party following the awards presentation.

Just a reminder that today is the last day of our registration days. We will be at the school from 2:00-6:30 today. Students in grades 7-12 can get their paperwork, finalize their class schedules, and pay computer use fees. Back-to-school paperwork can also be picked up by parents of students in grades Pre-school through 6th grade.

📣 Fall Sports Meeting & Concussion Testing TONIGHT! We look forward to kicking off the fall season with our student-athletes and families! 📅 Date & Time: Monday, August 3 at 6:00 PM 📍 Location: Summit School Gym During the meeting, student-athletes will complete their Sway Medical concussion baseline testing. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Parents/Guardians are strongly encouraged to attend. Please note that student-athletes will need parent/guardian approval in the Sway Medical app before they are able to complete testing. ✅ Before the meeting: Please download the Sway Medical app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. All 7-12 students who plan to participate in athletics this school year are required to take a concussion test before they are allowed to attend practice.
