October 28th – November 1st Waubay School will be participating in Red Ribbon Week. Red Ribbon week spreads awareness about drug and violence prevention. It began in the US in 1985 to honor DEA special agent Enrique Camerena. Red Ribbon Week is a celebration to show intolerance for drugs and violence within our schools, workplaces, and communities. Please join us in celebrating with Red Ribbon Week Dress Up Days!
4/5/6 BASKETBALL: Just a friendly reminder that the 4th, 5th, and 6th grade boys’ and girls’ basketball teams have the St. Martin’s basketball tournament at Great Plains Lutheran school tomorrow, Saturday, Oct. 26th. Boys play their first game at 9am and girls play their first game at 10am. Remember there is NO SCHOOL TRANSPORTATION to the tournament. Please have your child at GPL 30 minutes before their first game starts. Below are the brackets to the tournament.

IT'S GAME DAY! The Mustangs are heading to Hayti to take on the Hamlin Chargers in the 1st round of 9AA Football Playoffs. Kick off for tonight’s game is 7:00 PM. We hope everyone can make it but if you’re not able to be there in person please use the link below to cheer them on from wherever you are. The game will also be the radio on STAR 98.1.

Calling all Mustang fans--let's pack Summit Main Street this Thursday at 3:50 PM and show the football team just how proud we are of them! The fire truck is going to lead the bus from the school, down main street, and out of town. We want all fans to be there cheering for these boys on their way to playoffs!
REMINDER: Athletic Eligibility for Quarter 1 will be ran on Wednesday, Oct 23rd at 12:00pm. If your student has a failing grade in Quarter 1 they will ineligible for the first 2 weeks of Quarter 2. The next eligibility report will be ran on Nov 13th. Eligibility affects all student athletes in grades 4-12.
Waubay School District will have an early dismissal on Thursday due to parent teacher conferences. School is dismissed at 1:30. Busses will run normal routes. Conferences will run from 1:30-4:30 PM. There is also be a pep rally at 1:00 for the football team.
VOLLEYBALL: There will be practice on Thursday (10/23) in Summit for JV and Varsity from 3:30-4:30pm. If you plan to ride the bus from Waubay it will be leaving the school at 3:00pm . There is no JH practice.

This is a reminder that Waubay School will be holding parent teacher conferences on Thursday, October 24th from 1:30-4:30 PM. There will be an early dismissal for students at 1:30. Busses will run their normal routes. We will also hold another night of conferences on Thursday, November 7th from 4:00-6:00 PM.
