Waubay School District would like to thank the Waubay Green Buffalo Club for their very generous donation towards our Weight Room Update.
After Prom Fruit, Meat and Cheese sales will begin on Friday, October 28th. There will be a brief informational meeting at 8:25 am Friday morning for all students in grades 9-12. Order forms will be handed out at that time. The annual fruit, meat and cheese fund raiser is a major fund raising activity to support After Prom. Please plan to attend and help make 2023 After Prom a huge success!
RED RIBBON WEEK 2022
Red Ribbon Week takes place each year from October 23 through 31st.
Red Ribbon week is a yearly campaign that strives to keep kids drug-free. Since 1985 Red Ribbon week has been campaigning to help end drug use among youth.
This years theme is "Celebrate Life. Live Drug Free"
We are asking all staff and students to wear red on Wednesday, October 26 in honor of Red Ribbon Week. We will plan to take a picture of those that wear red and post it for a chance to win $1000 and an iPad for our school.

The 5/6 BB game at Summit tomorrow is postponed until Tuesday, November 8 @ 4:00pm

Flu shots will be offered at Waubay School on October 21, 2022. Consent forms will be sent home with your child today. Please fill out and return to the business office. If you choose to have your child vaccinated, please return the form with a copy of your insurance card. Children will not be vaccinated if we do not have a copy of an insurance card or receive payment on the date of the scheduled flu clinic.
Members of the Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate tribal Department of Education will be at Waubay School on Monday, October 10 to help us celebrate Native American Day. There will be four stations that students in grades K-12 will rotate through. There will be ledger art, Dakota stories, buffalo box, Dakota language, oral stories, Kahomni, and songs. We are excited to partner with the Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate tribe.
