PreK - 6th Grade Students & Families mark your calendars for Title I Reading Night, Thursday April 3rd 5:30 - 7pm. There will also be a Book Fair.
Driver's education will be held on July 24th, 25th, 28th and 29th in Summit. Students must be 14 years old by January 1, 2026. There is a sign-up sheet in the office. Students will receive the parent permission slip when they sign up. There are a limited number of slots available.

Waubay School District will be dismissing school at 2:00 PM today. School will be dismissed at 2:00 and busses will run their normal routes. Please plan to have someone at home to meet your child. The Boys Basketball game has also been postponed.

Reminder that there will be a 1:30 dismissal tomorrow due to parent teacher conferences. There is also a conflict with the schedule for conferences. The girls basketball team has a game in Warner tomorrow night. This means that parent teacher conferences will run from 1:30-4:00 PM on Thursday. We will try to schedule as many elementary conferences as we can. If you need to discuss your child’s academics with their teacher, please reach out to them so they can make sure to try to get you scheduled. If Thursday doesn’t work, then they will look to find another time to visit with you.
The Waubay Elementary students kicked off their Kids Heart Challenge today! Julie Boerhave with the American Heart Association came to talk with students about the importance of being heart heathy! Information packets have been sent home with each student on how to get registered and start fundraising for the AHA today! Kids Heart Challenge will run through March 10th.
The Waubay Pep Band is playing at the Girl's Basketball game on Tuesday, Feb. 25 in Summit. Students are responsible for getting to the game with their instrument and music. Students should be at the school in Summit by 6:15. Please contact Miss Beers if you need a ride to the game.
Dakota Players will be at Waubay Elementary on March 3-7.
They will be working with the students to perform the musical “You Look Marvelous”. Students in grade Preschool-6th can participate. Auditions will be held Monday, March 3 from 3:30-5:30. The performance will be Friday at 2:00 pm.
